(Here's Jane with her Birkin and dog. When I met her she had another Birkin that was fabulously scuffed and covered in Amnesty International stickers.)
And creating the wildly sexy, Boheimian scent L'Air De Rien for Miller Harris:

Jane Birkin is finally going to design a clothing range. It's for luxury cashmere label, Lutz and Patmos.
Looking on their website their self-proclaimed concept sounds like a description of Jane's own style:
FOR YEARS NOT SEASONS / DAY INTO NIGHT / WEEKDAY INTO WEEKEND / ALL CLIMATES / ALL YEAR/ HIGHEST QUALITY YARNS AND FABRICS / TRADITION AND EXPERTISE
They've had loads of guest designers, including Mick's girlf L'Wren Scott, Liv Tyler, French Vougue Ed Carine Roitfeld and Christy Turlington. And, although I'd never heard of the label until the Jane announcement, I recognise their cosy, muted collection for Uniqlo in 2007.

Tina Lutz and Jane got together at Jane's Paris home in May, and she has chosen an Italian-made organic cashmere for a knitted scoop neck vest with crochet details. Also included in the collection is a wide V-neck with a raw-edge neckline, which Lutz describes as "a cool little sweater that can fall over one shoulder".
They'll be in the Spring-Summer 09 collection available here.
